Molly Gable hired as Safe Routes To School Coordinator

The Iowa Bicycle Coalition (IBC) headquarted in Coralville, Iowa, announced Molly Gable as the newly hired Safe Routes To School Program Director as of June 2nd, 2008. Safe Routes To School is a movement focused on enabling children to use active forms of transportation, using a wide range of strategies: education, encouragement, engineering, and enforcement.

“We are excited to have Molly with us at the Iowa Bicycle Coalition she will bring experience and enthusiasm to the program,” said Mark Wyatt, IBC Executive Director.

As the Program Director, Molly will market the program to public and private school administration state-wide; manage content and dissemination of all program publications and website; evaluate the School Safety program and recommend improvements on an on-going basis. She will also oversee the design and implementation of additional comprehensive Safe Routes campaigns.

Previously Molly worked as the Outdoor Programs Graduate Assistant for The University of Iowa Recreational Services Department (2006-2008) while working towards her Master of Arts degree in Leisure Studies: Recreation and Sport Management.
