The Iowa Bicycle Coalition has another busy week ahead of us. We have electricians work starting on our new offices in Coralville. This office will actually have a bathroom, so we will finally be able to have a grand opening celebration. More on that soon!
On the top of everyone's schedule is the Dallas County Board of Supervisors meeting in Adel at 9:30 AM. There is a ride to the courthouse from the Iowa State Capitol Building. We really need to pack the room for this reading. We need to get people to speak their minds. It's frustrating to talk about a solution looking for a problem, when we have so many problems with flooding, levies, and recovery to worry about.
We are also finishing the Safe Routes To School Curriculum, Iowa Kids on the Move. I hope to be able to share with you soon.

Ever ridden on any of the party rides? I have and have seen wrecks caused by drunken bikers that have sent people to the hospital with serious injuries. These organized party group rides are being conducted on our county highways and it's only a matter of time till a drunken biker causes a serious accident to a motorist. Did you show the supervisors any of the photos on bike iowa of bikers getting drunk and then going on their organized rides? I doubt it.
